Do you know your WHY?
I have always been a traveller, but my adventures took on a whole new meaning when I lost my husband, Terry.

Did you see the Northern Lights last week? For the first time ever (in my non-scientific assessment), they were clearly visible in the south of the UK where I live.
So, finally I am back in the real world after my Camino de Santiago adventure, and it already seems like it was over too quick. I am missing the walking and already have plans to take on another route, for longer in the future.
So, the Camino de Santiago is done, and it was amazing! I got back after midnight last Thursday morning and feeling the exhaustion still, so I’m keeping this short.
While I am off on my Camino de Santiago adventure, I thought I’d share a little story with you before I return next week with all the details of how I got on.
And so, it’s done! My training for the Camino de Santiago is complete. This last week, I have walked 60kms. Over the last month it’s over 150km. I have felt myself getting fitter and stronger with each step I take. I’m ready and up for the challenge.
Have you ever felt stuck in life? Like there are more experiences you need to have or places you’ve never been but feel drawn to?
Happy Easter and I hope you are having a well-earned break enjoying time with your loved ones and gorging on chocolate!
This has been a good week!
After I wrote to you last week about my on again/off again article in the Mail on Sunday newspaper, I am pleased to report that it was finally published yesterday. The article looked great and it feels like a real honour to be featured.
Last week I mentioned that I would be featured in the Mail on Sunday newspaper (only important if you are in the UK). It is a HUGE deal for me to be in another big publication and I was thrilled to be offered the opportunity. I was told by the journalist that it would be coming out on 16th March. I broadcast it among my friends and family (and here last week) so they would be as excited as me and braced to dash to the newsagents first thing that Sunday 😉.

Welcome to my little corner of the internet, for women in midlife who feel the pull to explore — not just the world, but themselves.
I’ve been travelling for over 30 years, through seasons of joy, grief, reinvention and becoming. Travel didn’t just show me new places — it helped me find my way back to myself.
Here I share honest travel stories and reflections on courage, change and second acts.
You don’t need to be brave yet. You’re welcome exactly as you are.
Try: courage, walking, grief, becoming, solo.
