Buen Camino!

So, the Camino de Santiago is done, and it was amazing! I got back after midnight last Thursday morning and feeling the exhaustion still, so I’m keeping this short.

And I’m off…

And so, it’s done! My training for the Camino de Santiago is complete. This last week, I have walked 60kms. Over the last month it’s over 150km. I have felt myself getting fitter and stronger with each step I take. I’m ready and up for the challenge.

Is it… or isn’t it?

Last week I mentioned that I would be featured in the Mail on Sunday newspaper (only important if you are in the UK). It is a HUGE deal for me to be in another big publication and I was thrilled to be offered the opportunity. I was told by the journalist that it would be coming out on 16th March. I broadcast it among my friends and family (and here last week) so they would be as excited as me and braced to dash to the newsagents first thing that Sunday 😉.

It can’t have escaped you that last week was International Women’s Day. Well, one day of the week was but it seems to expand every year. In the UK, yesterday it was also Mother’s Day. As I never had children, I haven’t celebrated Mother’s Day properly since 1999, the year I lost my wonderful Mum.

I made it!

Last week I wrote to you about my exploits while hiring a car in Gran Canaria, the Canary Islands.
