If you are going to travel alone for the first time, it can be an overwhelming prospect. After losing my husband, I spent a year meeting friends & family in amazing locations across the globe. I said “Yes” to every invitation & I cannot be more grateful to all those beautiful people who got me through the first year. Then, I realised that I had to take charge of things myself.
I needed to live life on my own agenda rather than waiting for others to ask me. I created my Life List. It was basically a Bucket List but “things to do before you die” was a little too close to home for me. I started to work my way through, ticking ambitions off as I went. Since then, my Life List has evolved but the experiences it has led me to have continued to thrill me & finally put a smile back on my face.
If you are in search of some inspiration for your first solo trip, then look no further. Here you can see what is on my Life List & how it has evolved through the years. Also all the information is here if you are keen to take on one of those major Bucket List destinations (climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, visiting the Galapagos Islands, Hiking the Inca Trail to Machu Pichu & many, many more!). Then there are loads of ideas & further inspiration on adult learning experiences, activities & solo female travel.
Let’s continue this journey together…
