These boots were made for walking!
While I am off on my Camino de Santiago adventure, I thought I’d share a little story with you before I return next week with all the details of how I got on.

And so, it’s done! My training for the Camino de Santiago is complete. This last week, I have walked 60kms. Over the last month it’s over 150km. I have felt myself getting fitter and stronger with each step I take. I’m ready and up for the challenge.
So, last week was my final one in Australia and what a week it was! After the triumphs of a fantastic trip to Tasmania, my final week back in Sydney did not disappoint.
Today I arrive back home from Australia after over a month with my family and friends and a fabulous Christmas and New Year break.
Happy New Year!!! I hope you had a fab time and are fully dusted off and ready for everything 2024 has to throw at us!

Welcome to my little corner of the internet, for women in midlife who feel the pull to explore — not just the world, but themselves.
I’ve been travelling for over 30 years, through seasons of joy, grief, reinvention and becoming. Travel didn’t just show me new places — it helped me find my way back to myself.
Here I share honest travel stories and reflections on courage, change and second acts.
You don’t need to be brave yet. You’re welcome exactly as you are.
Try: courage, walking, grief, becoming, solo.
